As a Content Writer, you’ll be responsible for creating compelling content that entices visitors to become subscribers and buyers of OptinMonster and TrustPulse, our highly popular lead generation software used on over 1.2 million websites.

- Passion for Digital Marketing: A genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing and a desire to discuss it endlessly, even if your friends and family wish you would stop.
- Bonus Skills: Familiarity with blogging, email marketing, lead generation, ecommerce, social media, search engine optimization, WordPress, Shopify, and other Awesome Motive products.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a Content Writer will include, but are not limited to:
- Researching, writing, and self-editing 3-5 engaging and actionable blog posts per week, adhering to our style guide.
- Creating custom featured images and screenshots for each blog post.
- Optimizing content for search engine rankings using our established guidelines.
- Researching competitors and ensuring accurate and favorable comparisons that highlight OptinMonster’s features and benefits.
- Crafting persuasive copy to articulate new feature benefits on our website.
- Updating pillar articles and existing content regularly.
- Writing guest posts or snippets related to OptinMonster or TrustPulse for other Awesome Motive-owned brands.
- Collaborating with customers to create written case studies.
- Maintaining an up-to-date status of your content on our editorial calendar.
- Assisting colleagues as a peer editor when required.
- Contributing to our Growth team’s objectives, including increasing website traffic, growing the email list, and driving new sales.
- Documenting your work and utilizing project management tools to enhance internal processes and systems.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Writing and Editing: Ability to research and write well-structured articles with impeccable grammar and conversational tone. Proficiency in editing and proofreading your own work to eliminate errors.
- Copywriting: Understanding our audience and using their language to position our products as solutions. Writing persuasive content that generates conversions, not just traffic.
- Image Editing: Efficiently handling screenshots, resizing and cropping images, adding text and other elements, compressing images, and formatting them in WordPress.
- SEO Knowledge: Understanding the importance of SEO and conducting keyword research. Skillful use of keywords in content without keyword stuffing. Experience in optimizing high-ranking content.
- Basic HTML: Proficiency in using the text editor in WordPress to add attributes to links and perform basic formatting tasks.
- Google Analytics: Ability to analyze content performance using Google Analytics.
- Time Management: Effective multitasking and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Previous Freelance or Remote Work Experience
- Personal Computer with Internet Access
- Availability for Audio/Video Meetings between 9 am-5 pm EST

Location
This is a remote position, and our team is spread across the globe. While our base is in Florida, USA, the Content Writer must be available to collaborate with the team between 9 AM and 11 AM ET. Apart from those hours, you can create a schedule that suits your needs.
